|Angela Tompkins, Teacher - Piano|
Originally from the Midwest, Angela started taking piano lessons at age 6, and continued into college, where she earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in mathematics. Classically trained with a strong background in church music, she has played in a variety of settings, and is especially respected as an accompanist. She has extensive experience accompanying solo vocalists and instrumentalists, as well as choirs, from youth/school settings to college and professionals. Besides playing both traditional and contemporary styles on keyboard and piano in the church, she loves to play classical solo repertoire, with a special fondness for the works of Schumann, Chopin, and MacDowell. She now lives in Bakersfield with her husband, Rob, and their two children, Silas and Josie.
