Karee was born and raised in Bakersfield, trusting Christ as her Savior as a young child in Vacation Bible School. She joined the youth group at Calvary Bible Church in 1984 and married her husband Layne at CBC in 1985.

Karee attended Bakersfield College and Cal State Bakersfield, graduating with honors with a BA in English. After spending her children's early years as an at-home mom, she did some substitute teaching for about 5 years.

During the Logans' college years, they ministered at Calvary Bible in the High School Department, and also in the nursery. In the fall of 1989, Layne's career with the California Highway Patrol took them away from Bakersfield for a period of about two years. When they returned to Bakersfield and Calvary, with their two-year-old daughter, Kayti, and newborn son, Aaron, Karee became an active participant in Calvary Bible's Children's Ministry, serving in Sunday school, VBS, AWANA, and on the Nursery Board. She also served in the Children's Ministry for Community Bible Study.

The Logans served together as 6th grade Sunday school teachers for two years beginning in 1999, and then moved into the Junior High ministry in 2001. Karee continued to volunteer in AWANA, VBS and on the Nursery Board, and was hired as our Children's Ministries Director in September of 2003. She and Layne are still very active with Student Ministries at CBC.
