Sometimes words just don’t cut it and this would definitely be one of those times. What God has been doing with CBC’s Men of Valor is “off-the-charts” exciting and hard to capture on a flat piece of newsprint - but here goes! First, keep your eye on our Men of Valor corner in the lobby. It’s going to have a facelift in the future, plus a yummy enticement when you stop by.

Secondly, be sure you have your new event brochure posted on your “fridge” so you’re on top of what is coming up for the men, women and families at CBC. There is literally “something for everybody.”

Coming Up: A variety of Men’s Bible studies including “Wild at Heart.” This is where it all starts!

• April 12-13 Wild at Heart weekend at Sabaloni ranch. This is for any guy who wants to draw closer to his Creator through outdoor activities such as riding, fishing, shooting, rapelling and hanging out with other men.

• June 7 - Family Day at Sabaloni Ranch hosted by Men of Valor. This is an action-packed day of outside family fun in God’s great outdoors.

• June 21- Shooting disciplines (handgun, defensive shotgun, tactical rifle, precision rifle), taught by professional instructors. This day will include, of course, plenty of great food and camaraderie, plus a unique opportunity to experience “hands on” training in firing arms. Place: Sabaloni shooting range.

• June 27-28 - Promise Keepers at Fresno. This event speaks for itself. The speakers and music are geared just for guys and our CBC men look forward to this each year.

•September 19-20 - Sierra Camp MEGA Event (Men Engaged in God’s Agenda) Ask any man who attended last year’s event and you’ll hear things like, “Best retreat I’ve ever gone to”, “A+ event for men.” “It couldn’t have been better.” Well, this year’s event may be better because the planning committee already has some “out-of-the-box” ideas. Come and find out for yourself, (and probably come home with a dynamite prize!)

The Challenge - Each of these events involve lots of preparation, so we need guys to help in any area they would enjoy serving in. Specific leadership and volunteer needs are: publicity, registration, food, setup, on-site helpers, accessing prizes.
